Privacy
This page covers the turtlie website and its waitlist. The site collects very little.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is Filip Leśków, a private person in Poland who runs turtlie. You can reach him about privacy at contact@turtlie.com.
What we collect
The email address you type into the waitlist form. Whether you ticked the box to receive turtlie news and offers, and when. The date and time you signed up and the date and time you confirmed your address. Nothing else. We do not store your IP address with your email.
Why and on what basis
We send you one confirmation email with a link. The link proves the address is yours.
We use your email address to tell you when your spot in early access is ready and to invite you in. The basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give it when you submit the form.
If you ticked the optional box, we also send you turtlie news and offers by email. The basis is your separate consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 398 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law). The box is never ticked for you.
Giving us your email is voluntary. Without it we cannot add you to the waitlist. We make no automated decisions about you and we do not profile you. The waitlist is meant for people aged 16 or over.
Who processes it for us
Service providers handle the data on our instructions, under data processing agreements: one hosts this website and runs the waitlist form, one stores the waitlist database and one sends our emails.
Some of them are in the United States or Singapore, or may access data from there. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission. You can ask us who the providers are and for a copy of these safeguards at contact@turtlie.com.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you do not confirm your address, we delete it after 30 days.
We keep a confirmed address until we have invited you to early access and for 12 months after that, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. If you agreed to news and offers, we keep it for that purpose until you withdraw your consent.
When you unsubscribe, we delete your email address from the list.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data and for a copy of it. You can ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict its use, and you can ask for it in a portable format.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or write to contact@turtlie.com. Withdrawal does not affect what happened before it.
You can lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warszawa, Poland, uodo.gov.pl. If you live in another EU country, you can also complain to the authority there.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no tracking cookies. It runs no analytics and shows no ads. Fonts, styles, scripts and images are all served from this site.
Hosting and technical logs
The hosting provider delivers this website. To do that, and to limit how often the waitlist form can be sent, it processes technical data about each request, such as the IP address, the time and the page requested. The basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Not advice
turtlie is not medical, dietary or financial advice.
